Terms of Service
Last updated October 11, 2026
These Terms of Service govern use of ScopeWriter. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them on behalf of your company.
1. The service
ScopeWriter is web-based software for writing subcontract scopes of work, bid documents, estimates, buyout logs and related construction documents (the "Service"). It is provided by Constructability Systems LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between us and the company that signs up for the Service ("Customer", "you").
2. Accounts and users
You are responsible for the people you add to your account and for keeping sign-in access to your team. Each user signs in with their own work email. Tell us promptly at support@constructabilitysystems.com if you believe an account has been used without permission.
3. Fees and payment
Fees are listed on the Pricing page or in a written quote. Per-project fees are charged when a project is created and cover that project for 18 months. Company plan fees are billed monthly in advance. Invoices are due on receipt. Prices exclude taxes, which you are responsible for where they apply. Refunds are covered by the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
4. Your data
You own the content you put into ScopeWriter, including company standards, scopes, estimates and documents ("Customer Data"). You grant us permission to host, process and display Customer Data only to provide and support the Service. We do not sell Customer Data. You can export your documents at any time, and on written request after the account ends we will delete Customer Data within 60 days, except where we must keep records by law.
5. AI-assisted features
Some features use Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic, to draft or check text. The content you choose to send to those features is processed to return a result. AI suggestions can be wrong; you are responsible for reviewing anything before using it in a bid or contract.
6. Your responsibility for documents
ScopeWriter helps you write documents; it does not give legal, engineering or professional advice. You are responsible for the content of every scope, bid document and contract you issue, and for having your own counsel review your subcontract forms.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service, try to access accounts or data that are not yours, interfere with its operation, or copy, resell or reverse engineer it.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and back up data regularly, but the Service is provided "as is" and may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a core feature you have paid for during an active project term without notice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits.
10. Ending the agreement
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end an account for unpaid fees or a serious breach of these terms after notice. Sections 4, 6, 9 and 11 continue after the agreement ends.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and disputes will be heard in Alachua County, Florida. We may update these terms; we will post the new version here and tell account admins by email before material changes take effect. Questions: hello@constructabilitysystems.com.
